PINGHUB is pleased to anouce that The Malaysian Academy of Han Studies has opened in Malaysia. A new school in that aims to build and function as a self-sustaining community. Parents, teachers, staff and children will all live together, learning and teaching with the academy on a fully charitable and donated site.
The heart of the school’s curriculum and function lie in the core principles of Confucianism, Taoism, and ultimately Buddhism. The form of the academy is inspired by the Tulou Clusters in southern China and creates an inclusive village atmosphere, whilst promoting circulation of people, energy and ideas alongside the ventilation and light that flows through the buildings louvred walls.
Blending a Malaysian roof vernacular with an inverted Chinese historical community architecture, the centre is a contemporary fusion of tradition and new ideas.
We have worked with the driving force behind this project and its design the Masters of Han Studies in previous exhibitions, notably the 360 Degree Peace and Harmony exhibition tour in 2015

STORY OF THE GARDEN
The secret in the Garden is the secret of Life. The delicate lines create abstract forms of the elements of Life. It narrates our self and we create the space of different hidden meanings by telling the story of our garden. Our story covers a surface on a piece of fabric which helps us travel our daily lives.
There are flower blossoms, there are trees growing, birds singing,”life in the garden”. The creation of every single abstract form in the garden is the creation of self, a creation of a universe. Our story is a form, covers a surface and makes our daily lives colourful.
The New Dawn
Art Exhibition - Sponsored by the artist Lo Jhy-Yen
27th January 2017 - 29th January 2017
Latest exhibition in collaboration with PingHub and one of our Core Artist Members Lo Jhy-Yen to celebrate 2017 and the year of the Rooster a year of hope and growth.
The Chinese Zodiac signs are derived from a person's birth year, according to the Chinese lunar calendar. The signs are arranged in the sequence they came to meet with Buddha.
The tenth sign in the Chinese zodiac. The name is also translated into cock or chicken. The Chinese term is more generic, as it applies to barnyard fowl of either sex.
The Year 2017 is a year dominated by the orientation towards progress, honour and maximum integrity, people learning to temper their honour. The year 2017 of the Fire Rooster will be full of positive events and very good news, career progress and profitable businesses for those born in the year of the Dragon.
The Rooster general Characteristics
Rooster children are meticulous, brave and tidy and they will have no problems at school. You can even trust them to be among the best students. They have a strong critical sense and can be very obedient when they need to solve something. Don’t waste time pointing out their mistakes because they wont admit them either way. Many rich people were born under this sign!
The adult Rooster is honest, brave and proud, so they will always be in the spotlight because their greatest pleasure is to express their opinions publicly and impress the people around. Their personality is imposing and they like to show off their knowledge and smartness. They make the best organisers and managers, you can trust them with your business and you will definitely have an honourable profit, but still, a profit you will only have if the Rooster allows you to. Either way, they wont let you down. They are excellent in business, honest and determined. They are very straight forwards and they are always up for endless discussions. If they contradict you it is very difficult to find valid arguments to fight back with.
